Exciting Events in the Tampa Bay Area This Weekend (June 21-23)

Looking for something fun to do this weekend in the Tampa Bay area? Look no further! From concerts to pride parades, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

On Friday night, the iconic band Red Hot Chili Peppers will be performing at the Florida State Fairgrounds at 7 p.m. Special guests Ice Cube and IRONTOM will also be taking the stage, making it a night to remember. Tickets are available for purchase online.

If baseball is more your speed, head over to watch the Tampa Tarpons take on the Palm Beach Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. at 1 Steinbrenner Drive in Tampa. $20 all-you-can-drink tickets will also be available for purchase at the game.

For movie buffs, “Love Lies Bleeding” will be showing at Screen Door Cinema at 7 p.m. The thriller film directed by Rose Glass follows a reclusive gym manager who falls for an ambitious bodybuilder while trying to hide her family’s criminal secrets.

On Saturday, the St. Pete Pride Parade will kick off at 6 p.m. on Bayshore Drive in St. Petersburg. Over 100 groups will march in celebration of inclusion, representation, and visibility. The parade will be followed by the St. Pete Pride Parade Day Festival at 2 p.m. at 198 Bayshore Drive NE, featuring music, food, and fun.

If sports are more your style, check out the BIG3 Basketball League at 1 p.m. at the Yuengling Center in Tampa. Founded by Ice Cube and Jeff Kwatinetz, this global 3-on-3 basketball league promises an exciting afternoon of competition.

For those who prefer a more laid-back weekend activity, the Ybor City Saturday Market will be open at 9 a.m. at 1901 North 19th Street in Tampa. Shop vendors at the largest outdoor market in the Tampa Bay area, which has been a staple since 2000.

Other events happening this weekend include an improv comedy class in St. Petersburg, a pride pool party in Dunedin, an immersive giraffe tour at Busch Gardens, Hippie Fest in Brooksville, a chili cook-off competition in Lake Wales, and Watermelon Weekend in Plant City.
