Belief Stronger Than Hope for Washington Commanders After Playoff Win

The Washington Commanders are riding high on belief and confidence after their stunning victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round. Despite facing the Detroit Lions this weekend, a team many predict will defeat them, the Commanders are undeterred in their belief in themselves.

Defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr. exemplified this unwavering belief when he confidently declared, “We’re going to win,” after his defense secured a crucial stop against the Buccaneers. This belief has been growing within the team since their early days of OTAs and rookie minicamp, and it has only strengthened with each passing game.

Head coach Dan Quinn emphasized the importance of playing a clean and complimentary game, much like they did against the Buccaneers, in order to keep their season alive. The Commanders are focused on executing on all fronts – offense, defense, and special teams – to secure another victory and advance further in the playoffs.

As the Commanders prepare to face the Lions, their belief in themselves and their ability to come out on top remains unwavering. Stay tuned to CommanderGameday and the Locked On Commanders podcast for more coverage of the team’s journey through the 2024 season.
