As a new resident of Florida, one of the first things on my agenda was finding the best Tampa club soccer teams for my son. Moving from New Jersey, where soccer is a big deal, I wanted to ensure that my son could continue playing the sport he loves in his new home.

Florida Premier, founded in 1979, has grown to have 9 campuses across the Tampa area, offering competitive teams and experienced coaches. West Florida Flames, established in 1975, boasts 5000 players and a family-oriented atmosphere. Tampa Bay United has a history of producing top-level players, with alumni playing in college and professional ranks. The Chargers, with over 3800 players on 90 competitive teams, emerged from a merger in the 1970s.

Choosing the right club for your child is essential, as each team has its own unique culture and approach to the game. Whether you’re looking for a competitive environment or a more laid-back atmosphere, Tampa has a club that will suit your family’s needs.

Overall, our first year in club soccer in Tampa was a fantastic experience. The support from coaches, parents, and teammates made the transition smooth for my son, and I couldn’t be happier with our decision to join the vibrant soccer community in Tampa Bay.
