Tampa General Hospital and Mass General Brigham Launch Ambulatory Care Network on Florida’s East Coast
Florida’s East Coast is set to benefit from a new healthcare initiative as Tampa General Hospital (TGH) partners with Boston-based Mass General Brigham (MGB) to establish a joint ambulatory care network. This collaboration aims to enhance access to a range of outpatient services, including specialty and primary care, oncology, imaging, and outpatient surgical procedures, for residents in Martin, St. Lucie, and Palm Beach counties.
The initiative comes in response to the region’s rapid population growth and the increasing demand for coordinated, patient-centered care. By leveraging TGH’s extensive presence in Florida alongside MGB’s expertise in academic medicine, the partnership seeks to deliver integrated outpatient services that cater to the evolving needs of the community.
The first major project under this new venture will be a state-of-the-art radiation oncology center in Palm Beach Gardens, slated to open before the end of the year. This facility is expected to significantly expand cancer treatment options for residents in Palm Beach County, providing much-needed resources for those battling the disease.
In addition to the new oncology center, TGH and MGB plan to expand the Tampa General Physicians Network, which currently operates across 20 locations. The partners also intend to implement advanced training programs and joint clinical research initiatives, further enhancing the quality of care available in the region.
John Couris, president and CEO of Florida Health Sciences Center and TGH, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “As one of the state’s leading academic health systems, Tampa General is committed to meeting the needs of Floridians by expanding access to world-class care. With this new ambulatory network, we are building on our strong foundation in Florida to ensure patients along the East Coast have seamless access to the highest-quality outpatient services.”
Couris emphasized that this collaboration with one of the nation’s top academic health systems aligns with TGH’s vision to lead in delivering innovative, patient-centered care across the state, ultimately strengthening the health of communities for generations to come.
This initiative follows TGH’s previous collaboration with Lakeside Medical Center in March 2025, aimed at improving healthcare quality and accessibility in the rural areas of Palm Beach County.
As the ambulatory care network takes shape, residents of Florida’s East Coast can look forward to enhanced healthcare options that prioritize their needs and well-being.
