PHILADELPHIA – Women’s Track and Field Head to Tampa for South Florida Invitational

The Temple University women’s track and field team is gearing up for the South Florida Invitational in Tampa this weekend, following an impressive showing at the Sam Howell Invitational. The Owls secured 15 top 10 finishes at the previous meet, with standout performances from athletes like Reagan Schwartz, Nya Browne, and Aliza White Vega.

Looking ahead to the South Florida Invitational, the Owls will have 14 athletes competing in 10 events over the course of two days. Nya Browne will be a key competitor in the 100m hurdles and 200m, while Mariah Jameson will represent in the 400m and the 4x400m relay. Other athletes to watch include Laila Cottom and Maya Gomes in the 800m, Amira Green in the high jump, and Shalisha Robertson in both the long jump and triple jump.

After the South Florida Invitational, the Owls will head to Charlottesville, Virginia for the Virginia Challenge hosted by the University of Virginia. With a strong showing at the upcoming meet, the Temple women’s track and field team is poised for continued success as they progress through the outdoor season.
