Tampa General Hospital Expands Access to World-Class Care in Rural Florida

In a groundbreaking move to improve access to high-quality healthcare in rural Florida, Tampa General Hospital has partnered with the Health Care District of Palm Beach County to provide leadership and support for Lakeside Medical Center in Belle Glade. The agreement, approved by the Health Care District’s Board of Commissioners, will see Tampa General Hospital offering administrative leadership, operational management, and strategic support for Lakeside Medical Center starting February 1st. This collaboration comes at a crucial time when rural communities across the state are facing challenges in accessing quality healthcare services.

The appointment of Ron Doncaster as vice president of business operations and integration at Lakeside Medical Center further solidifies Tampa General’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery in the region. Doncaster brings with him decades of experience in health care leadership and administration, making him well-equipped to oversee operations, facilitate service integration, and offer innovative programming recommendations.
