Tampa Bay Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

As October rolls around, Tampa Bay is gearing up to paint the town pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. From specialty donuts to flower workshops, the city is coming together to raise awareness and support those affected by breast cancer.

One of the highlights of the month is The Salty’s initiative to offer a specialty donut, the Whipped Strawberry Donut, with 25% of the proceeds going to The Breasties, a nonprofit organization supporting survivors, previvors, thrivers, and caregivers impacted by breast and gynecologic cancers.

Kendra Scott will also be hosting a meet and greet event where 20% of all sales will benefit the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation, dedicated to ending the suffering caused by breast cancer through various programs.

Local eateries like The Pearl and Ocean Prime are featuring special desserts with proceeds going to organizations like Susan G. Komen For the Cure. Additionally, the Fight Wright Foundation is organizing a 5K Breast Cancer Walk & Festival to raise awareness and support survivors.

The Don CeSar is hosting a Blossoms of Hope Flower Workshop in partnership with The Roaming Petal, with proceeds going to the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. Coach Mo’s Bust Body Boob Boot Camp & Brunch will offer a day of fitness and empowerment in support of breast cancer awareness.

The month will culminate in events like Making Strides of Tampa, a cancer walk at Raymond James Stadium, and the Pink Carpet Ball, a glamorous evening dedicated to raising awareness and supporting breast cancer initiatives.

With a variety of events and initiatives throughout the month, Tampa Bay is showing its support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in a big way. Join in the fight against breast cancer and make a difference in the lives of those affected by this disease.
