St. Petersburg, FL – In a momentous occasion for the city, The Residences at 400 Central has officially reached its peak height, marking a significant milestone in the construction of what will soon be the tallest building in St. Petersburg and the tallest residential tower on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Standing at an impressive 515 feet, the 46-story structure is poised to redefine the skyline of downtown St. Petersburg.
The celebration took place on Tuesday, attended by a host of local dignitaries, including St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch, who joined developer John Catsimatidis Sr. of New York-based Red Apple in commemorating the topping out ceremony. “It’s going to be the Empire State Building of St. Petersburg,” Catsimatidis declared, highlighting the ambitious vision behind the project.
With over 700 skilled workers on site, the construction of The Residences at 400 Central is a testament to the city’s growth and development. Once completed, the tower will house 301 luxury condominiums, with prices starting at $1 million, alongside 60,000 square feet of retail space and 4,500 square feet of office space. A unique feature of the building will be an exclusive observatory on the top floor, offering breathtaking views of the Gulf Coast and the vibrant city below.
The project has garnered significant attention not only for its height but also for its potential to transform the urban landscape of St. Petersburg. The building’s design and amenities are expected to attract residents and visitors alike, further enhancing the city’s reputation as a desirable destination.
State Senator Darryl Rouson also participated in the ceremony, adding his signature to a steel beam that was raised alongside the American flag, symbolizing unity and progress. The topping out marks a pivotal point in the construction timeline, with the completion date anticipated in the coming months.
As the city looks forward to the grand unveiling of The Residences at 400 Central, the excitement is palpable among residents and city officials alike. This landmark development not only represents a new height for St. Petersburg but also a new chapter in its ongoing story of growth and innovation.
