Carolina Panthers’ Robert Hunt Making Waves in Free Agency
Carolina Panthers right guard Robert Hunt has proven to be a valuable asset to the team since signing a lucrative five-year, $100 million deal last offseason. The offensive line, which struggled in 2023, has seen significant improvement with the addition of Hunt and left guard Damien Lewis.
Hunt, who was previously with the Miami Dolphins, has now set his sights on potentially recruiting Dolphins free agent safety Jevon Holland to join the Panthers. With the Dolphins reportedly not planning to use the franchise tag on Holland, the 24-year-old safety could be a target for Carolina.
In addition to Holland, wide receiver Tyreek Hill of the Dolphins has also hinted at a potential departure from Miami. While Hill initially expressed frustration after the end of the season, he later clarified his commitment to the team and the culture being built under coach Mike McDaniel.
The Panthers, in need of a true No. 1 receiver, could consider pursuing Hill to fill that role. However, acquiring the 31-year-old speedster would likely require a significant package of draft capital.
As Hunt continues to make an impact on the field for the Panthers, his potential influence in recruiting key players like Holland and Hill could further strengthen the team’s roster for the upcoming season. Stay tuned for more updates on the Panthers’ offseason moves.
