Pro Football Focus Underrates Tampa Bay Buccaneers Talent Again: Mike Evans Ranked 20th Best Wide Receiver
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are no strangers to being underrated by Pro Football Focus, and their latest victim is star wide receiver Mike Evans. PFF recently released their rankings of NFL wide receivers, placing Evans at a surprising No. 20 on the list.
This ranking has raised eyebrows among fans and analysts alike, as Evans has consistently been a top performer in the league. The 28-year-old receiver has never had a season with less than 1,000 receiving yards and tied for the league lead in touchdowns in 2023 with 13.
While some may argue that Evans is on the wrong side of 30, his track record and statistical prowess speak for themselves. General manager Jason Licht clearly values Evans’ contributions, as evidenced by the two-year, $52 million contract he signed in the offseason.
As the Buccaneers gear up for the upcoming season, they will undoubtedly use this ranking as motivation to prove the doubters wrong. Their first game against the Washington Commanders on Sept. 8th will be a chance for Evans and the rest of the team to show why they deserve to be considered among the best in the league.
