New England Patriots Eyeing Trade for Cooper Kupp: Potential Wide Receiver Target

The New England Patriots are eyeing a potential new wide receiver target in the form of Los Angeles Rams’ Cooper Kupp. Kupp, who has been linked to the Patriots in recent weeks, could be a valuable addition to the team as they look to bolster their receiving corps for young quarterback Drake Maye.

Despite Kupp’s injury history in recent years, the 31-year-old receiver has shown himself to be a reliable and productive player when healthy. In the 2021 season, Kupp put up impressive numbers, catching 145 passes for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns. While it may be unrealistic to expect him to replicate those numbers, he still has the potential to be a top-tier receiver in the league.

Mike J. Asti of Yardbarker believes that New England could be a prime destination for Kupp, comparing him to former Patriots greats Julian Edelman and Wes Welker. With Maye in need of more weapons on offense, Kupp’s skill set and experience could be just what the Patriots need to take their game to the next level.

As the Patriots look to make moves this offseason, don’t be surprised if they make a push to acquire Kupp and add him to their roster. Stay tuned for more updates on this potential trade and other news surrounding the New England Patriots.
