Memorial Day Events Across Tampa Bay: Honoring Those Who Served
As Memorial Day approaches, Tampa Bay is gearing up to honor and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the U.S. armed forces. From Citrus County to Pinellas County, there are a variety of events happening in the community to pay tribute to our fallen heroes.
In Citrus County, the Memorial Day Veterans’ Remembrance Ceremony will take place on May 25 at Crystal Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The ceremony will honor military veterans interred in the cemetery and pay tribute to their service.
In Hernando County, residents can enjoy the Sunflowers Memorial Day Weekend Fun event at Sweetfields Farm on May 25. Visitors can explore a sunflower maze, interact with animals, and participate in farm activities.
Hillsborough County will host the 27th Annual Memorial Day Observance Ceremony on May 26 at Veterans Memorial Park & Museum. The event will feature traditional military elements and guest remarks to honor the true meaning of Memorial Day.
Manatee County will hold the Tribute to Heroes Block Party and Parade on May 26 at Lakewood Main Street. The block party will kick off at 5 p.m. followed by a parade at 6:30 p.m.
In Pasco County, the Memorial Day Hockey Tournament will take place from May 24-27 at AdventHealth Center Ice. The tournament will feature five divisions of youth hockey players.
Pinellas County will host the Clearwater Honor Fest and Memorial Day Parade on May 25 at Coachman Park. The day will include a parade, memorial ceremony, and a music festival to close out the night.
Lastly, in Polk County, the Lakeland Funeral Home Memorial Day Tribute will be held on May 27 at Lakeland Funeral Home. Guests are encouraged to bring a photo of their loved ones who have served in the military to pay tribute.
