The property, which boasts over 16,000 square feet of meeting space, was acquired by Loci and its joint venture partners in January 2021. Since then, it has undergone extensive renovations, including a complete room overhaul, set to be finalized post-acquisition.

UC Investments Acquires Residence Inn Berkeley for $175.8 Million

In the Bay Area, UC Investments, the investment arm of the University of California, has purchased the 331-key Residence Inn Berkeley for $175.8 million. This acquisition comes on the heels of a 2023 appraisal valuing the hotel at $218 million, highlighting its robust financial standing. The property has also benefited from $50 million in C-PACE financing, ensuring its continued growth and development.

Soho House Founder to Launch New Hotel in London

Nick Jones, the founder of Soho House, is set to open a new hotel in London in 2026, marking his first venture since stepping down as CEO in 2022. The 90-key St. Clement Hotel will be located above his latest project, Corner Shop 180, near Somerset House.
