Celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride in Tampa Bay: Events and Festivities for June
St. Pete Pride, Florida’s largest LGBTQ+ celebration, is in full swing with a month-long series of events and activities planned throughout June. From drag queen brunches to Pride parades, the Tampa Bay area is buzzing with excitement and support for the gay rights movement.
One of the highlights of the celebration is the Hedwig and the Angry Inch show at the American Stage Theatre Company, where audiences can experience a darkly humorous and euphoric night with the transgender icon Hedwig. The show promises to be a rock ‘n’ roll rollercoaster ride that is not to be missed.
Other events include the Gulfport Pride Festival, Pride Flow yoga class, and the St. Pete Pride Kickoff Block Party, which will feature music, entertainment, and a giant Red Bull truck. The festivities continue with drag queen brunches, pop-up dance parties, and art and music festivals that showcase the diversity and creativity of the LGBTQ+ community.
The St. Pete Pride Parade and Festival on June 22 is expected to draw thousands of spectators, with colorful floats, marching groups, and entertainment by rapper Saucy Santana. The parade will be followed by a block-long dance floor at Jannus Live, where attendees can continue the celebration into the night.
As Pride Month comes to a close, the St. Pete Pride: Transtastic event at the Museum of Fine Arts will provide a social gathering for the trans, non-binary, and gender diverse community to come together and celebrate in an uplifting atmosphere.
With a wide range of events and activities planned throughout the month, St. Pete Pride is a celebration of love, diversity, and inclusion that brings the community together to show their support and pride.
