Former Denver Broncos Wide Receiver Josh Reynolds Signs One-Year Deal with New York Jets
Former Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds has found a new NFL home with the New York Jets. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Reynolds has signed a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with the Jets.
Reynolds originally joined the Broncos in March of 2024 on a two-year deal but suffered an early-season injury that derailed his time with the team. While recovering from his injury, Reynolds was involved in a shooting outside a Denver-area nightclub, but fortunately, he was not seriously harmed.
After the Broncos waived Reynolds instead of working him back from short-term injured reserve, he was claimed off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars. In five games with the Broncos, Reynolds recorded 12 receptions for 183 yards and a touchdown. Before his time in Denver, Reynolds made a name for himself with the Detroit Lions, catching passes from Jared Goff.
Originally a fourth-round pick by the Los Angeles Rams in 2017, Reynolds played his college football at Texas A&M. The reasons behind the Broncos’ decision to part ways with Reynolds are unclear, but he now has the opportunity to make an impact with the Jets.
Although the schedule has not been released yet, the Broncos will face the Jets on the road during the 2025 regular season, giving Reynolds the chance to face his former team.
