St. Petersburg, FL — Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital has once again claimed the title of the No. 1 children’s hospital in Florida, as announced in the 2025-26 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings by U.S. News & World Report. This prestigious recognition marks the third consecutive year the hospital has achieved this honor, solidifying its status as a beacon of pediatric care in the state.

Not only does Johns Hopkins All Children’s lead Florida, but it also earned a remarkable tie for No. 4 in the Southeast, its highest regional ranking to date. The hospital remains the only ranked pediatric facility in the Tampa Bay area, reinforcing the region’s growing reputation for excellence in healthcare.

“This recognition reflects what it means for the families who depend on us,” said Alicia Schulhof, president of Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. “Parents deserve the very best care for their children, and that’s exactly what they can expect when they come to Johns Hopkins All Children’s.”

The U.S. News rankings highlight the hospital’s exceptional performance across eight specialties, including:

  • Cancer: No. 37

  • Urology: No. 43

The diabetes and endocrinology program’s No. 17 ranking represents the hospital’s best performance in any specialty to date, showcasing its commitment to advancing pediatric healthcare.

The rankings are based on a comprehensive analysis conducted by U.S. News and RTI International, which evaluated clinical outcomes, adherence to best practices, and the quality of hospital resources related to patient care.

Since joining the Johns Hopkins Health System in 2011, the St. Petersburg hospital has collaborated with its Baltimore counterpart on various research and treatment initiatives. The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore ranked nationally in 10 specialty areas, further enhancing the reputation of the Johns Hopkins network.

Locally, Johns Hopkins All Children’s has expanded its network of outpatient care centers and established partnerships with regional hospitals, increasing access to specialized pediatric care across Tampa Bay. Founded in 1926, the hospital operates as a 259-bed teaching and research institution, playing a vital role in the region’s healthcare workforce and economy.

For Tampa Bay’s business community, this recognition signifies more than just clinical excellence. It positions the region as a burgeoning center for pediatric innovation, attracting medical talent, philanthropic funding, and national attention.

As a teaching hospital, Johns Hopkins All Children’s is also instrumental in training the next generation of pediatric specialists, fostering workforce development and strengthening public trust in local healthcare infrastructure.
