NCAA Women’s Final Four Takes Over Tampa in April
Tampa is gearing up to make history this April as the city prepares to host the NCAA Women’s Final Four for the fourth time. The basketball action will take place at Amalie Arena on April 4 and 6, with fans from all over the country expected to flock downtown to witness the excitement.
The event kicks off on Friday, April 4, with two national semifinal games airing live on ESPN. The Division I national title game will take place on Sunday, April 6, airing on ABC. This marks the third consecutive year that the championship will be broadcast live on the network.
NCAA Vice President of Women’s Basketball, Lynn Holzman, expressed her excitement about Tampa hosting the event for the fourth time, praising the city as an incredible partner. Beyond the games, fans can look forward to a week filled with interactive experiences, concerts, and family-friendly events around downtown Tampa.
Tourney Town at the Tampa Convention Center will offer food, games, and entertainment from April 3 to April 6. Additionally, the Super Saturday Concert at Curtis Hixon Park will feature Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist GloRilla, providing fans with even more entertainment options.
The Final Four Legacy Project presented by Dove will refurbish the indoor court at the Riverfront Rec Center, showcasing the community initiatives tied to the event. Young basketball enthusiasts can also participate in the Women’s Final Four Bounce presented by Buick, parading along the Tampa Riverwalk on April 5.
