Points of Distribution (PODs) Providing Aid in Tampa Bay Area After Hurricane Milton
In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, several Points of Distribution (PODs) have been set up across the Tampa Bay area to provide essential supplies to those in need. These PODs are offering food, water, and tarps to residents who have been affected by the storm.
In Hardee County, a POD is located at 231 Wilbur C King Blvd in Zolfo Springs and is open from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. daily. In Hernando County, a POD site is open at Ridge Manor Community Park from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the American Red Cross providing hot meals from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Highlands County has multiple POD locations open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily, including sites in Lake Placid, Sebring, and Avon Park. In Hillsborough County, various locations such as Citrus Park Mall, HCC Brandon, and Gibsonton Walmart are providing assistance from 12:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Manatee County has several PODs open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily, offering aid to residents in Bradenton, Holmes Beach, Palmetto, and Ellenton. Pinellas County also has multiple distribution sites providing meals and water to those impacted by the hurricane.
In Polk County, PODs are open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily at locations in Lakeland, Frostproof, and Mulberry. Sarasota County is operating PODs from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily at various locations including the Venice Community Center and Englewood Sports Complex.
Pasco County has drive-in PODs open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at sites in Hudson, Dade City, Holiday, and Zephyrhills. These PODs will remain open while supplies last to assist residents in need.
