Tragedy Strikes Near Disney: Three Tourists Found Dead in Kissimmee Shooting

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A serene vacation turned to horror as three tourists were found dead outside a rental property near Walt Disney World, leading to murder charges against a local man.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire around noon on Saturday in the Indian Point subdivision, just eight miles from the iconic theme park. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the lifeless bodies of three men, all victims of gunshot wounds.

During a press conference on Sunday, Sheriff Christopher Blackmon identified the deceased as 70-year-old Robert Lewis Kraft from Holland, Michigan, 68-year-old Douglas Joseph Kraft from Columbus, Ohio, and 69-year-old James John Puchan, also from Columbus. Notably, Robert and Douglas are brothers, with Douglas’ twin having left the rental property just a day prior.

“This was a group of tourists enjoying their time in Florida,” Sheriff Blackmon remarked, emphasizing the tragic turn of events for the victims and their families.

The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Ahmad Jihad Bojeh, was apprehended at his home next door to the rental property. He has been charged with three counts of murder and is currently held at the Osceola County Jail. Investigators recovered two firearms from Bojeh’s residence, and authorities are working to determine if either weapon was used in the shooting.

Sheriff Blackmon described Bojeh as a known figure in the neighborhood, stating, “I can tell you he was a threat to the neighborhood all the time. We had a lot of calls for service on this person in that area, so he was a known person, a frequent flier to the sheriff’s office.”

While the investigation is still in its early stages, authorities believe the murders may have been random. The shocking incident has left the community in disbelief, as families and friends mourn the loss of the three men who were simply seeking a getaway in the Sunshine State.

As the investigation unfolds, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information to come forward, hoping to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
