The incident unfolded around 1:00 AM on Saturday, when authorities first spotted a speeding vehicle on the highway, reportedly engaged in reckless street racing.

According to the Tampa Police Department, the Florida Highway Patrol initiated a pursuit after the driver exited the interstate. Despite attempts to execute a “PIT maneuver” to safely halt the vehicle, the maneuver failed, prompting officers to abandon the chase. Tragically, moments later, the 22-year-old driver lost control of the car and crashed into the outdoor patio of Bradley’s, a well-known LGBTQ bar, where patrons were gathered.

Three victims died at the scene, while a fourth succumbed to injuries at the hospital. Among the injured, two individuals are in critical condition, while others are reported to be stable. Two victims have since been discharged from the hospital, and two others received treatment on-site.
